Music Mentoring

Providing advice, coaching, support and tuition throughout the year, tailored to suit the individual needs of each young musician. Several young bands and artists formed through the Music Mentoring sessions have gone on to become well known in the city and have begun to gain national interest.  Regular sessions for young people include:  Saturday songwriting workshops, Urban nights, Instrumental Jams, Vocal Workshops and Grime Nights. Music mentoring is run in partnership with the Basement Studio, Studio7 and Colston Hall.

Alternative Education

Daytime informal music based education and  Key Skill qualifications for young people who are not getting what they need from regular education. Sessions are run on a weekly basis as a rolling program of sessions, which develop musical skills and combine workshop sessions with nationally recognised Key Skills qualifications. The alternative education project is a partnership project between Fast Forward, Remix and schools serving the Ashley and St Paul’s areas. The courses are run by Hello Interactive.
